I love discovering new authors and books, and when they write in a similar genre as me, I'm even more excited!

Recently, I discovered Mara Wells, who features dogs in her romance stories, some of which shine with humor. In fact, Publishers Weekly noted about the first book in her Fur Haven Dog Park series, "Full of humor and heart... Animal lovers will delight in the large cast of canine supporting characters in this well-paced romance."

I purchased several in this series, including the first book, Cold Nose, Warm Heart, and I look forward to reading them this spring.

If you are a cat lover, I highly recommend two authors: Kris Bock and Karen Drew. Kris' series The Cat Cafe Collection, weaves some mystery and drama into each story.
