Friends, Family, and Fun – Including a New Book

During the past few weeks, I’ve enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Summer has arrived in Wyoming, with many days of warm, even hot, weather, and this is the time of year people are traveling the state and region. It’s been a joy to celebrate my parents’ 65th wedding anniversary, even though, sadly, neither felt very well on their special day. They didn’t go anywhere, but I brought dinner to them, and we shared a nice, light supper together.
The following week we spent two days at our friends’ ranch about 90 minutes from my house. We’ve known these people for about 25 years. They welcome us to the guesthouse on their property whenever family isn’t visiting. This is the place I often go to write. Livestock and wildlife abound at the ranch, and the friendship and fellowship we share is an important aspect of my life. Being there with my parents again, especially during their anniversary month, brought joy to my heart.
Earlier this week, I drove to Billings, Montana to meet up with a friend I haven’t seen in three years. She teaches in California, and she returns to her parents’ home in southwestern Montana for a few weeks each summer and for the Christmas break her school receives. I no longer travel to Montana in the winter, and the past few summers had me busy with parents in the hospital and then moving them to Wyoming. So, my friend and I made plans earlier this year to carve out a day and meet for lunch in Billings. We were together for three hours! We had SO MUCH to share with one another, and my heart again felt deep joy, and gratitude, for our time together.

Another friend, who lives in Arizona, texted not long ago, and mentioned he and his family plan to travel to Montana and Wyoming next month. We will be making plans for their time in Wyoming soon. I look forward to their visit as well.
Are there friends and family members you wish you could see more often? I’m sure we all do.
Relationships are important, both in reality and in fiction, and relationships are a critical component to my sweet romance stories. This week I’ve released my newest, and likely last, book of my Pet Rescue Romance – Yellowstone Country series. It’s been in the works for a while now, and this year I decided to release it during the often-celebrated “Christmas in July.” Pawprints On Our Hearts: A Christmas Story brings together Rhiann and Levi, their friends Trisha and Phil, and their family members Erin (Rhiann’s sister) and Mike. They are together in Florida for the wedding of Britanny (Erin’s daughter) and Gary, the couple whose story is shared in Paws-itively Love, who are marrying on Christmas Eve. Within the pages you’ll read about a rift between Trisha and Phil, one that their marriage may not survive. Additionally, someone experiences a life-threatening health crisis while aboard a boat. All the stress, anxiety, and emotions impact their lives, as couples, individuals, family, and friends. Are love and faith strong enough to hold them together?
The story is currently available in e-book form only and is on sale this month for just .99 cents. Find it on your favorite online platform via this link: https://books2read.com/u/4NJQD8
